Took some pictures of this beautiful lil baby called Wiggles today, who is the security guard for A-K Barbers. The only reason why i ever go to southampton and the only barber shop I’ll ever go to from now on!
Wiggles was a very polite and patient model for me today and he defiantly deserves cat nip for christmas🤭

a tiny little creation I’ve made so far for the build up of the exhibition.
one thing I’ve learnt that i didn’t realise was so important is that you shouldn’t devalue your works in progress arts as it is the effort and the accumulation of your final piece. its so important to remember that each curation you work on, it is the result of an idea and a chain.

I am so lucky to finally own the Nikon D7100 and an amazing 16mm-85mm lens 🤭🤭
yesterday Toby and I bought some seeds and fed the pigeons in our local Southampton park. they were so gentle with us and it was such a warming and etherial experience, really feeling connected to wildlife and nature, taking for granted the animals we see everyday.
out of 300 pics these were defiantly the best of the bunch.

the first image is a self portrait of yours truly as a pigeon elaborating on the representation of femininity and gender roles through pigeons, made with acrylic on cardboard.
the second girl is a little sculpture i had made from mod-rock and wall filler, creating a rough sculpture dense with shades and shapes.🙈

i’m happy to announce that ill exhibiting my artwork at this years spike open no ca come take a look! doors open this Friday at 6pm and then the following Saturday and Sunday from 11am!
the two pieces exhibited is ‘wither with me’ exploring themes of fear and restriction and then we have ‘is it really that serious?’ reflecting the idea of art without a purpose.
Both pieces are for sale and price is discussed on request!

Finally showing some colour😩 experimenting with Gelli printing and actually started crashing out cause it just wasn’t workingggg. But finally after a few hours I got the technique down. I might make a video at some point to teach people how to do it because it can be a very frustrating process and it’s so important to share your skills!

The ‘British Accent’ Collection.
im hoping to develop this project further, addressing differently political issues. these pieces specifically represent the dehumanization that the english people feel towards the Taliban ruling women and their body’s through the language barrier. with references to pigeons, which is associated in a British context as a burden, they represent woman and they’re struggling.
